If you are in a leadership position whether that is in your work, your community, your church or even your home.. you at one time or another probably have had to make some tough decisions.
If you haven’t yet, there is a high probability that you will and you need to make sure that when your “Leadership Moment” does come, you will be prepared. How can you make sure you are prepared? Micheal Useem the director of the center for Leadership and Change Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania wrote a book to do just that.
Micheal’s book is entitled, “The Leadership Moment” and he tells the story of nine amazing leadership moments that happened not too long ago. From river blindness in Africa, battles in Gettysburg to the Apollo 13 mission, Michael shares some very important lessons about some of the toughest decisions that have ever had to be made.
I am going to provide a review of this book in the form of a 9 short articles that examine each chapter. During this review series, I will touch upon 2 to 3 main points from each story that stood out to me and that I am going to try to incorporate into my own leadership style going forward.
